The Project Manager Ops Transformation will be responsible for successfully managing the full lifecycle of a diverse portfolio of medium to large-scale, business-led projects. This role demands a proactive, commercially savvy individual with strong project management skills who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, embraces change, and excels at problem-solving. The role will involve some travel.

The core responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Ownership of discovery and delivery of transformational and large strategic projects.
  • Lead, motivate and influence wide ranging internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Responsible for detailed cross-team planning to implement projects and initiatives, engaging internal and external stakeholders, look for opportunities to shorten, de-risk and manage delivery times.
  • Lead the framing of problems and trade-offs (including development of data-led insights) to enable effective and timely decision making.
  • Define project ways of working, integrate ways of working across various project teams & vendors, and determine people and team requirements to deliver the project goals.
  • Ensure that roles & responsibilities are defined and understood by people involved.
  • Manages the change control process and assesses and manages risks; while ensuring project plans are maintained and stakeholders receive accurate and regular communication.
  • Initiate and run suitable project steering committees, governance forums, and working groups to provide updates and facilitate timely project decisions.
  • Track and develop regular reports on progress - benefits/scope, schedule and budget - and identify important dependencies and risks, and actively manage these to protect delivery – take corrective action when required to mitigate risks and manage issues/blockers.
  • Actively engage and promote collaboration, teamwork including tailored coaching to enable a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes and the achievement of project goals.
  • Contribute to team culture, ensuring it continues to be a great environment to work in.

To be considered, key skills will include:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Project Manager, with strong business analytics expertise in managing complex integrations and projects with multiple trade-offs.
  • Experience with commercial or digital products within the aviation sector is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools such as Smartsheet
  • Proven experience working on large-scale programs of work.
  • Expertise in defining project methodologies and integrating diverse team/vendor approaches (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) into a common project delivery framework.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with advanced analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including outstanding verbal, presentation, and influencing abilities to engage across regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and successfully deliver strategic and transformational projects.
  • Skilled in navigating complex commercial and operational environments with multiple stakeholders and competing demands.
