Your office will serve the best views in the world

Where travel’s part of your day job

As a Jetstar pilot, we’ll be relying on you to deliver our superior safety standards, up to the second – ensuring that our crew and our passengers take to the sky safely. With our cloud-nine culture, our focus on work-life balance, our evidence-based training program and a new fleet of A321LR NEO’s, we can’t wait for your arrival.

Let’s fly you through some of the benefits of being in command at Jetstar.

Days off, holidays on

We get that work-life balance matters. Our rosters, while busy with 2 to 4 sector days, ensure that you'll be back in the comfort of your own home most nights. Life demands flexibility, which is why we offer a sophisticated roster bidding system, letting you choose shift patterns that give you the flexibility you need. With multiple bases across the east coast, you can apply for base transfers, ensuring that your career continues to takeoff, wherever your located.

Training to help you soar

We're incredibly proud of our safety record - and the pilots who help us to maintain it.  Our Evidence Based Training (EBT) goes above and beyond standard requirements, providing realistic training scenarios and hands-on experiences to build your skills to the highest level.

A new era of sustainability

Our current NEO fleet has cut total emissions by more than 16,000 tonnes over the last 12 months - the equivalent of taking 3500 cars off the road.  Quieter and more fuel efficient, our NEOs are kickstarting a new era of improved sustainability and growth for us.

New fleet, new routes

More low fares, everyday, across our most popular routes.  Plus, new far-flung destinations just added.  Our longer range and highly fuel-efficient NEOs are freeing up our Boeing 787s to reach new places even further away.

Submit your application

As well as an up-to-date resume, be sure to include a cover letter that details your current flight hours, aircraft type rating and CPL/ATPL.  Once you apply, we'll send you an email to confirm we've received it.  Remember to check out requirements for pilots before you apply.  If your application's unsuccessful for any reason, there's a three-month wait before you reapply.

Fly through your online assessments

If you progress, this is your next stop.  You'll be invited via email to complete some online psychometric testing.  Keep an eye on your inbox during this time, as we'll ask that you complete it shortly after receiving the invite.
