Job Description

  • Project Manager role working within the Engineering Technology team.
  • Working on challenging and exciting initiatives.
  • 24 Months fixed term contract position - working at our Collingwood Office (Hybrid WFH working options available)

As a Project Manager - eMRO, you will be responsible in leading the delivery of the eMRO discovery and migration project, aligning wide array of business and technical stakeholders, maintaining delivery plans and budgets, identifying and treating delivery and operational risks; whilst ensuring quality throughout.

Jetstar will be replacing its current critical Maintenance Information System (TRAX) to a modern application architecture based on a similar data structure called eMRO. eMRO is a leading-edge device-agnostic application designed to cater to virtually every aspect of aircraft maintenance & fleet management. Deployed via any web browser, this technology lets you stay connected no matter where you are. eMRO is a fully integrated product which allows complete information flow between the modules throughout the system. The software provides the means to manage and maintain all information generated by a maintenance organization. With an open architecture and easy installation, eMRO was built to empower users. This solution gives you the accessibility that maximizes productivity and streamlines business processes.

You will translate strategic objectives for product, program and/or service into tactical plan and manage the implementation. Ultimately you will oversee the delivery all the way through to the design of the support model and transition the product into a continual delivery team that you will become responsible for ongoing.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience developing, analysing and designing software and technology products.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially working as a product owner or project manager.
  • Demonstrable and significant experience in delivering large programs from business case to successful delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a complex, fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Proven day-to-day leadership, management and coordination of all activities related to project direction, goal setting, planning, estimating, resource allocation and assignment, project health and reporting, problem resolution and running all Agile ceremonies
  • Scrum / Product owner and Project Manager certifications or similar highly regarded
  • Tertiary degree in a related field.
  • Excellent project leadership, risk and time management skills.
  • Proven interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex thoughts and ideas clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Strong drive, initiative, ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Information Architecture and usability of the user experience.
  • Strong understanding of software development and digital solution design processes
  • Ability to contribute to strategic discussions
  • Proven ability to analyse and structure complex data and to develop meaningful reports and insights.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and organisational change
