Our Cairns Engineering Team are searching for a skilled Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join their team.  This hands-on position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of Jetstar aircraft, with all work carried out to the highest regulatory and company standards.

If you’re someone who thinks logically, sees the bigger picture, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, we want to hear from you. Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and proactive mindset will make you a key contributor to our high-performing team.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a B1 Unrestricted Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with extensive line maintenance experience and sound knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations
  • Holds a CASA Part 66 licence with B1 Unrestricted Type Rating for A320 (NEO, CEO, Freighter) and B787 GEnx (mandatory).
  • Demonstrates excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities within a high-pressure and time-critical environments
  • Displays strong time management, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively managing competing demands
  • Holds a working knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS), including fatigue management, workplace inspections, and incident reporting
  • Is comfortable with shift work, including permanent night shift where applicable.  
  • Possesses hands-on experience using TRAX (or similar systems), and proficiency with Airbus/Boeing manuals and Microsoft Office
  • Is eligible to obtain and maintain a valid Australian ASIC and ADA.
