Job Description

  • Lead and manage a large Cabin Crew team, fostering positive relationships, culture and values
  • Prioritise crew wellbeing and alignment with safety and service goals
  • 1 Permanent Part Time position located in Cairns, working 3 days a week

Join our expanding team of Cabin Crew Development Managers at Jetstar. Based in Cairns, you will lead a large Cabin Crew team, providing support during critical moments. Your responsibilities include managing employment relationships, promoting our culture and values, and ensuring alignment with our Safety and Service goals. You will oversee team performance, manage conduct and employment matters in line with company policies, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Additionally, you will proactively manage attendance, prioritising the wellbeing of your team.
Please note, this role requires flexibility, including early morning starts, weekends, public holidays and participation in a rotational on-call roster. 

You’ll have: 

  • Experience managing a large team, preferably in a Cabin Crew capacity 
  • Ability to provide direction, motivation and support to a remote and dynamic workforce 
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with an innovative approach to performance management and development 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships and adapt your style to your audience 
  • A strategic, commercial mindset and organisational skills to effectively manage multiple issues, timeframes and stakeholders 
  • Sound judgement, proactive thinking and fit-for-purpose solutions to meet an ever-changing customer and employee landscape 
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet operational requirements
